Bodegas Alutiz
In the village of Samaniego, located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, Bodegas Alútiz keeps alive a winemaking tradition that dates back to the 17th century. This family-run winery combines the expertise of their ancestors with modern techniques to craft authentic wines full of character.
The winery offers three unique spaces that tell its story: a modern facility with stainless steel tanks for producing young and signature wines, early 20th-century concrete vats used for aging their traditional wines, and a 17th-century underground cellar carved into stone—a journey back in time, 12 meters below ground.
Its 90 hectares of estate-owned vineyards are sheltered by the Sierra de Cantabria and nourished by the Ebro River, creating the perfect environment for varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Viura.
