Rioja Alavesa

Visiting wineries in Rioja Alavesa takes us to the smallest area of the region, which extends a little over 300 square kilometres in the south of the Alava province, on the north bank of the river Ebro. It’s predominantly situated on calcareous clay soils with hillsides and small plots, twinned with a sunny and dry Atlantic climate.
